Bringing the revolutionary spirit to women's empowerment

Anweshi was founded by K. Ajitha - a former revolutionary who was imprisoned for taking armed struggle against the feudal system in the 1960s.

Today's Anweshi's team of professionals and volunteers include everyone from laypeople to psycho therapists, lawyers, social workers, and trauma counselors.

Anweshi is trusted by policy makers at the state and national levels to administer key welfare programs for women and children.
